Opin Settles into SkanWorks Office Space
Business guru and serial entrepreneur, Jeff Knauss, chose to root his new startup company, Opin, in his hometown of Skaneateles. When I started my first business, it was hard, lonely, and pretty terrifying. I was wearing many hats on top of operating the business. After a while, I realized business owning got easier when you had a shared community of people to reach out to. You learn that many of these people are going through the same things as you. You have access to mentors who can guide you in the right direction and avoid making the same mistakes as them.
Opin’s Office Space in Skaneateles
When Jeff heard about the new coworking space in Skaneateles, he was ready to make it Opin’s home base. After founding a successful marketing firm and moving offices seven times in seven years to accommodate rapid growth, he was ready to cut pricey building expenses from the monthly budget. Now, the Opin team operates remotely from various locations across the country, gathering at SkanWorks when they need to record a podcast or collaborate in person.

The Opin team has enjoyed the past several months as full-time SkanWork tenants due to the flexibility and care the staff has shown them. Described as “supportive and proactive in communication” the SkanWorks team has made Opin’s move-in smooth and welcoming.

We work here all day, and having a healthy lunch option just steps away is fantastic” states Knauss. Unlimited printing also tops their list of favorite amenities and, the free gummy bears are a hit with Executive Creative Director, Alex DeRosa.
